My name is Alex Nguyen, and I’m a designer based in Houston, Texas.
Over the last 8 years, I’ve been the CEO, creative director, primary product designer, and jack-of-all-trades for my independent brand, SPIF SPACE.
Throughout this time, I have also been involved in countless branding projects, e-commerce build-outs, marketing campaigns, product designs, and more.
I’ve worked with many companies to help elevate their identity, branding, and outreach. I’ve built presences and assets for start-ups, small businesses, and streams. Additionally, one of my favorite things to do is to create unique merchandise. I’ve done this for numerous companies, restaurants, and even video games!

Whether it is an illustration, a piece of glassware, or a full retail experience, my approach to design is the same - build a world that the user wants to explore.
Even for the simplest of projects, I feel that it’s important to know the backstory; the more that I can understand the reasons behind the design, the better and more engaging the end result will be.
I aim to create design that encourages the user to interact further, or to feel something more toward products that they themselves don’t even consciously realize.
